St. Peter's Events

St. Peter's provides many events. These events bring the Church and Community together by helping with the homeless, helping the keep the Church in shape, and having fun playing games and having book discussions.

Lenten Series:
Thursday Movie Nights, 7pm​

Deacon Skip has offered to show movies in the library. In some way, they have a religious connection.

  • Feb. 22nd— "The Green Pastures." The 1936 African American movie where a southern black preacher explains the bible to a group of schoolchildren. It stars Rex Ingram as "de Lawd" and Eddie "Rochester" Anderson as Noah. A truly delightful story that we would call racist if it were made today by those of European ancestry.

  • Feb. 29th— "Joshua and the Walls of Jericho." A Discovery Channel production covering the archeological and historical evidence surrounding ancient Jericho.

  • March 7th— "Monty Python's 'The Life of Brian' " A humorous look at how people can be duped into following false prophets.


There may be a fourth movie on March 14th.
