Broadcast from New York's Mercury Theatre in 1938, this infamous radio play, based on the novel by H. G. Wells, had many terrified listeners convinced that an actual alien invasion of Earth was taking place. Adapted by Howard E. Koch, co-writer of Casablanca, and directed and narrated by Orson Welles, this original script detailing the frightening tale of an extraterrestrial takeover is now available to bring to life "So terrifying in its accounts of invading Martians wielding deadly heat-rays that it is remembered like no other radio programme." - Professor W. It starts at 7 pm and runs an hour long.  Free-will donation to the Players is encouraged and appreciated.  Listen to a wide variety of talent illuminate this 1930s sci-fi thriller. Will America respond to the Martian invasion? Can America stay safe? The evening includes music by Jenny Beyer Cornell.
