Every month, our parishioners gather at the church on a Saturday at 8am to put together approximately 85 brown bag lunches, each with a sandwich and fruit, as well as coffee and bottled waters. By about 9:00 am or so the bags are full and loaded on the truck, along with the coffee cart and a couple of cases of water.

These are distributed to about 50-60 day laborers gathered in the Home Depot parking lot in San Carlos, and typically another two dozen or so that wait patiently at the Chavez Market on Fifth Avenue in Redwood City.  We usually complete distribution by 10:30am, and we enjoy the opportunity to provide these hard-working individuals with a nutritious meal and some kindness from our Church.
