The happy band of parishioners who signed up for the 2016 Parish Retreat were treated to great weather, wonderful food, and even a passing hot air balloon. What a great way to spend Labor Day weekend!
That’s probably why they’re all smiles.
Who wouldn’t be happy resting and recharging at Bishop’s Ranch?
Recently a small contingent of artists has made installations called “hanging gardens,” and many of the participants at the retreat were struck by how interesting the idea was. Here are some pictures from a hanging garden in Italy.
You can guess what happened next… our creative St. Peter’s parishioners found an inviting catalpa tree and made their very own hanging garden. Mother Susan reports that it was titled “The Hanging Garden of Creation.”
Could you find a more inviting and peaceful way to spend a long weekend? We doubt it!
